Help me support our children and teachers in ACSD#1 public schools.
I am a product of Wyoming public schools. I grew up in Casper and received a truly amazing education.
My husband (Dane) and I moved our family to Laramie in 2022, when he accepted a teaching position at UW. We were thrilled to return to Wyoming to raise our two children and reinvest in our home state.
After moving back, I was alarmed by the decisions our state legislature was making. The Freedom Caucus was pushing bills through that devalued public education and made our children less safe. I attended a school board meeting on what to do about the repeal of gun-free school zones, emailed/called our representatives, and took a more active role in state politics to help protect my friends/teachers and family.
This year we have a Kindergartener and a 2nd grader enrolled in ACSD#1. While I am heartened by the primary election push-back against the Freedom Caucus, I have decided to run for the Board of Trustees to help make a difference myself.
